Book Exerpt…

As was the custom for many of the northernmost barbaric tribes, he wore several fur skins and a patchwork of hard leather armor. His long black hair fell just past his shoulders and looked as it were in a permanent state of wild disarray, mirroring the restless and unkempt nature of the large barbarian himself. His nervous, ice blue eyes darted back and forth, anxiously scanning for some unseen evil around every shadow. They matched the cold complexion of his light-colored skin, for the frigid northern tribal regions rarely saw sunlight. His arms, shoulders, and face were covered in grotesque scars and long-healed burn marks. Lauriel could tell that they were not the kind of scars that had been received throughout many battles, nor did they look like some tribal ritual, but ones that had been placed on him with cruelty and malice. His burly physique, unique physical features, and extremely large great axe made him appear as a mighty force to be reckoned with.
